New BoB line-up, new songs in the making

Oi lads and lassies !!!

Not without regret did we wave goodbye to Huib, who played guitar and mandoline with us for 100plus gigs over the past five years. Time had come for him to pursue a somewhat quieter musical career, in which we wish him loads of fun and success.

We consider ourselves lucky that this new kid Gosse was all eager to join our ranks. Behind the scenes, we were already in the process of rehearsing existing and writing new songs with him, so we are confident he will soon be a proper Bastard, musically at least.

In the meantime we were invited to take part in a rather prestigeous upcoming compilation-cd, for which we recorded a brand new song. More news to follow.

Hoping to catch you at one of our upcoming gigs. Cheers to one and all!

About gigs and albums

BoB are keeping themselves rather busy this spring, both by gigging and by working on new tunes.
Check out the gig list on this website. Future gigs include Belgium, Germany and France, apart from, of course, Holland. International also is that our latest tune THE POGO NEVER STOPS will be part of this year's RAISE YOUR PINTS compilation cd, amidst songs by bands from all over the bloody planet.

The Pogo Never Stops

So here is our latest offering, and the first song recorded in our new line up, with Jasper singing and Wessel playing the banjo. It's a happy tune, celebrating the lifelong joy that music brings, from conception into old age. Enjoy!

Introducing JASPER

Oi, lads and lassies, after waving the previous singer goodbye, and regrettably having had to cancel some shows in the process, BoB cautiously went on the lookout for a new singer once again, this time eager to find a teamplayer capable of memorizing lyrics to our songs.

With a mixture of pride and relief, we present you JASPER as the latest addition to our Bunch. He soon proved to be a very welcome enforcement indeed, being an enthousiastic and passionate singer with a great and clear, somewhat highpitched, voice. That he adds thorough Irish maternal roots to our otherwise Dutch Bunch doesn't make matters worse. Him throwing himself into each song with all he has to offer, attacking the mikestand with ferocious eagerness, reveals the bastard deep down in him.

With Jasper within our ranks, we will be gigging and working on new songs again from the autumn onwards.
